Setting the Record!
How in the world did Preston Clark catch 20 bass that weighed a
record-setting 115-15 total? Sight-fishing, of course. And as they say
"The rest is history". Preston has been catching big bass almost as long
as he has been fishing.
Professional angler Preston Clark, 41, from Palatka, Fla., landed the
biggest largemouth bass in the 36-year history of the Bassmaster
Classic. The record bass tipped the scales in at a massive 11 lbs. 10
oz. during the first day of the tournament, held on Lake
Tohopekaliga
("Toho") in Kissimmee, Fla.
According to Clark, as soon as his hook was hit, he knew he had a
good fish. "I knew my line was going to hold," he said. "Big Game is
bullet-proof. I've fished it for years -- and it handles big fish in any
conditions."
